To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Back on the swing, in the final pages, he makes sure he doesn’t leave it behind, but children will notice that he hasn’t paid the same attention to his arm.

Some of the illustrations are on graph paper and the endpapers feature the books characters incorporated into circuit diagrams. In 2006 she met Paul Linnet and could instantly see that she'd met a fellow nitwit who liked talking nonsense. Tell the children that they will be magnet engineers and will be curious about which materials No-bot’s bottom is made from.Bird was using it as a nest, but it was too heavy; Bear used it in his drum kit, but it was too tinny; the Squirrels built sandcastles with it. Poor old Robot (spoiler alert) leaves his mechanical bottom on a swing at the park and getting it back is problematic. Apart from the boldly illustrated zany story which young children will doubtless love, this book offers a host of possibilities for creative thinking. The book is beautifully illustrated and the story is guaranteed to have you and your child laughing… I can’t recommend any of the Sue Hendra books highly enough, seriously if you’ve never read any of her books then you MUST! She decided she wanted to go to Brighton and that’s where she did, in fact, end up doing her degree.

I was going to give this four stars but can't really see why it shouldn't be five stars as the service itself was outstanding too. You could make your robot moveable by attaching the limbs, hands and feet using split pins, making sure you have space to attach its bottom later. Sue had a great time and got a job with Harry Potter publisher Bloomsbury immediately after she left. The eye of man hath not heard, the ear of man hath not seen, man’s hand is not able to taste, his tongue to conceive, nor his heart to report what my dream was. I understand I can change my preference through my account settings or unsubscribe directly from any marketing communications at any time.He studied Graphic Design at Derby University, and later moved back to Brighton where he met Sue Hendra. Bernard and his friends are colourful and appealing characters and Sue Hendra makes clever use of robot associated design elements. While William Shakespeare’s reputation is based primarily on his plays, he became famous first as a poet.

Since we operate with an outlet approach where we source our items directly from the manufacturers we can offer large discounts on all our bargain products, thus offering a permanent sale. Then meet No-Bot, the robot whose bottom is making funny noises in this hilariously silly new adventure from Sue Hendra and Paul Linnet, creators of the super-bestselling SUPERTATO series! And we're told, thankfully, that Bernard never lost his bottom again, but in the picture accompanying those words we see Bernard getting off the swing at the park and this time he's left behind his arm!Sue is pretty good at swimming and Paul likes to ride around on an old motorbike that he's fussed about with. For a time, it’s utilised by his friends bird and bear as a nest (too heavy) and as drums (too tinny).
